Manchester United are well-positioned for an away win against Sunderland, who have struggled to make an impact at home. United's excellent recent form makes them favorites in this Premier League match-up. A bet on a Red Devils victory at 1.91 odds is recommended, with a stake of 2 units suggested for this encounter.

H2H - Red Devils Dominate

Man United have a 66-42 advantage against Sunderland, alongside 38 draws.

Sunderland Look Shaky at Home

Sunderland have dropped into the bottom half of the Premier League after a recent decline in form. Regis Le Bris’ side are winless in five of their last seven in all competitions, losing four.

The Wearside outfit have struggled at home recently, losing four of their previous five at the Stadium of Light. Home losses came against Liverpool 1-0, Fulham 3-1, Brighton 1-0 and Nottingham Forest 5-0.

The Black Cats followed the Forest defeat with a 1-1 draw against bottom-of-the-table Wolves. Nordi Mukiele scored after 17 minutes before Sundeland allowed 1.72 XG, faced 20 shots and conceded in the second period.

Man United Ending the Season on a High

Man United have secured a Champions League spot for next season following a top-five finish in the Premier League. The Red Devils are third in the table after winning 10 of their last 14 matches.

United confirmed their spot in the top five after a three-match winning streak. That run started with a 1-0 victory at Chelsea and a 2-1 win over Brentford

Michael Carrick’s side continued their strong recent form with a 3-2 home triumph against Liverpool on Sunday. Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Kobbie Mainoo scored as United dominated with 2.35-0.88 XG and 18 shots.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Sunderland (4-2-3-1): Robin Roefs; Nordi Mukiele, Luke O’Nien, Omar Alderete, Reinildo Mandava; Granit Xhaka, Noah Sadiki; Trai Hume, Enzo Le Fee, Chemsdine Talbi; Brian Brobbey

Defender Dan Ballard was sent off during the Wolves match and is suspended.

Goalkeeper Simon Moore is unavailable with a wrist problem and winger Romaine Mundle is out with a thigh injury.

Man United (4-2-3-1): Senne Lammens; Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Ayden Heaven, Luke Shaw; Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo; Amad Diallo, Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha; Bryan Mbeumo

Centre-back Matthijs de Ligt is sidelined due to a lower back issue. Striker Benjamin Sesko came off with a shin injury against Liverpool and could miss out on Saturday.

Michael Carrick provided a post-match update on the striker’s injury and said, "It’s something that he’s been carrying for a little bit as well, so we’ve had to manage him a bit, but he’s certainly had a bang right on the same spot.”

Verdict

Sunderland have been unthreatening at home recently and Man United have hit top form. It’s worth sticking with a Red Devils away win in this Premier League encounter.
