Eddie Howe’s Newcastle have made a steady start to the new Premier League season. The Toon have been a tough side to beat, drawing three and winning one of their five fixtures.

Newcastle got their first win of the season following a 1-0 home victory against Wolves. That result came before a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona and a 0-0 Premier League stalemate at Bournemouth.

The Magpies thumped Bradford 4-1 in the EFL Cup at home on Wednesday. Joelinton and William Osula scored braces as Newcastle dominated with 4.73 XG.

Arsenal are second in the 2025/26 Premier League table after three wins and a draw from five games. 

The Gunners are on a four-match unbeaten streak in all competitions. Mikel Arteta’s team beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 and Athletic Bilbao and drew 1-1 with Man City during this period.

The North Londoners then cruised to a 2-0 EFL Cup triumph at Port Vale. Arsenal had 81% possession, four shots on target and Eberechi Eze and Leandro Trossard scored in each half.
