Kaizer Chiefs face Red Arrows in the second leg, trailing after a 1-0 first-leg defeat. Chiefs' results have suffered due to key injuries, with just three wins in ten matches under coach Fernando Da Cruz. Red Arrows, in contrast, are in strong form, winning six of their last seven fixtures and entering this game with a full squad. The article predicts a tight encounter, likely ending in a draw with under 2.5 goals.

  • Kaizer Chiefs have struggled with injuries and recorded just three wins in their last ten matches.
  • Red Arrows are in excellent form, winning six of their last seven games and defeating Chiefs 1-0 in the first leg.
  • A low-scoring, tightly contested draw is predicted for the rematch.

Chiefs are missing key players at the moment to injury and their results have suffered. They are chasing this tie after a first leg defeat, but give Red Arrows form, I foresee this ending level.

Key Stats - Arrows Six Wins in Seven

  • Kaizer Chiefs have drawn 5 of their last 7 matches.
  • Kaizer Chiefs have seen Under 2.5 goals in their last 4 matches.
  • Red Arrows have won 6 of their last 7 matches.
  • Red Arrows have seen Under 2.5 goals in 12 of their last 14 matches.

Red Arrows Won First Leg

The sides met for the first time in last week’s first leg.

Red Arrows beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at home.

Chiefs just Three Wins in 10 Matches

Kaizer Chiefs have drawn five of their last seven league matches. Under new coach Fernando Da Cruz, they have won just three of their last 10 matches.

They beat Siwelele 3-2 at home before a 1-1 draw away at Polokwane City. A 0-0 draw away at Golden Arrows with just one shot on target before a 1-1 home draw vs Stellenbosch.

On Saturday, they lost 1-0 away to Red Arrows in Zambia. Chiefs created very little in the match and were beaten by a second-half goal from a set-piece.

Red Arrows in Sublime Form

Red Arrows finished second in last season’s Zambia league, albeit a full 15 points behind the Champions. They have five wins in six fixtures s so far this season.

In the first CAF qualifying round, they beat Inate Route of Madagascar 4-0 on aggregate. Arrows won 2-0 at home and 2-0 away to progress.

A 1-0 win over Power Dynamos followed in the Zambian Super Cup before a 3-1 league win at Mutondo Stars. After a 0-0 home league draw vs Mufulira, they beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 last weekend in the first leg.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Kaizer Chiefs (4-2-3-1): Leaner; Frosler, Moloisane, Miguel, Cross; Mthethwa, Mabaso; Vilakazi, Shabalala, Abrahams; Duba.

Goalkeeper Brandon Petersen is out injured for this match. Thabiso Monyane is doubtful in defence and three central midfielders are ruled out.

Adolf Mtasingwa, Lebohang Maboe and Siphesihle Ndlovu will play no part in the engine room. Left winger Langelihle Phili is out with an ankle injury.

Red Arrows:

The Zambian giants could name an unchanged XI from the first leg.

Coach Chisi Mbewe has no suspensions or major injuries for this match.

Verdict
