Bayern Munich and Arsenal, both strong title contenders with impressive records, meet in a much-anticipated Champions League clash. Recent form shows Arsenal have lost just one of their last 19 matches, while Bayern remain undefeated this season. Both teams have key players missing due to injuries and suspensions. Expert analysis suggests a closely-fought match, with a draw in Germany considered the most likely outcome. Bet recommendations focus on both teams to score and a potential 2-2 result.

Bayern Munich and Arsenal don’t lose very often and are considered chances to win the Champions League. This should be a great game, both teams ultimately content to avoid defeat.

Key Stats

  • Bayern Munich are undefeated in their last 9 matches.
  • Bayern Munich have conceded 6 goals in their last 3 matches.
  • Arsenal are undefeated in 18 of their last 19 matches.

HTH

Bayern Munich have met Arsenal on 15 occasions, holding an 8-4 advantage alongside three draws.

Bayern Yet to Lose

Bayern Munich haven’t lost this season earning seven wins and three draws. Their Champions League campaign began with a dominant 5-0 victory over Bodo/Glimt.

Vincent Kompany’s side fell 2-0 behind at Viking but recovered to take a 3-2 lead. Michael Olise was sent off and they conceded in the 90th minute as the game ended in a 3-3 draw.

Bayern took top spot in the Bundesliga after thrashing Leipzig 6-1 at home. Luis Díaz hit a hat-trick and Harry Kane got on the score sheet to make it seven goals in eight appearances this season.

Arsenal in Winning Form

Arsenal won their opening seven games this season, conceding just three goals. They beat Manchester City, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Napoli in that run.

The Gunners suffered a 3-0 defeat at Brighton where they had 60% possession and 1.63-1.31 xG.

Mikel Arteta’s side were far too good for Lille in the Champions League, winning 3-0 in London. They hardly gave the French side a chance, ending with 16-4 shots including 8-0 on target.

Arsenal had 74% possession at Nottingham Forest on Sunday but left it late to secure a 1-0 win. Noni Madueke came off the bench to score in the 80th minute and stake his claim for a starting spot.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1) Jonas Urbig; Konrad Laimer, Jonathan Tah, Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies; Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlovic; Lennart Karl, Ismael Saibari, Luis Díaz; Harry Kane

Manuel Neuer is doubtful due to a foot injury and Jamal Musiala is out with a muscle injury. Michael Olise is suspended with Lennart Karl a chance to start.

Expect Jonathan Tah and Alphonso Davies to come into defence for Kim Min-jae and Nathaniel Brown.

Arsenal (4-2-3-1) David Raya; Jurrien Timber, Ezri Konsa, Gabriel Magalhães, Riccardo Calafiori; Declan Rice, Bruno Guimarães; Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke; Viktor Gyökeres

Defenders William Saliba and Piero Hincapié are injured alongside winger Christos Tzolis. Noni Madueke is a chance to replace Eberechi Eze in the starting side.

Jurrien Timber and Viktor Gyökeres are likely to start with Ben White and Kai Havertz making way.

Verdict

Arsenal have lost once since April and Bayern Munich failed to beat Augsburg and Viking in recent weeks. These clubs are evenly matched which means I am backing a draw in Germany.
