Perth Glory vs Newcastle Jets Tips & Live Stream - Glory to win a goalfest in A-League

Perth Glory are tipped to secure a home win over Newcastle Jets in the A-League, following a strong run of three consecutive home victories, including a 4-0 win against Adelaide. Over 3.5 goals is also recommended, as Newcastle Jets have been involved in high-scoring matches, with six of their last eight games featuring four or more goals. Recent head-to-head encounters have also delivered high goal totals. Newcastle’s poor defensive record and winless start to the season further support these selections.

Perth Glory vs Newcastle Jets Verdict

Perth Glory have won their last three home games in the A-League, including last week's 4-0 hammering of Adelaide, and should take care of the strugling Newcastle Jets.

Over 3.5 goals is also backed given the Jets have seen 4+ goals in six of their last eight games and four of the last five head to head have delivered on that bet.

Head To Head

Perth hold a 22-11 advantage in the overall H2H, alongside 15 draws.

There was a time where these two teams loved a draw - in fact, five straight games between 2023-24 ended in a 2-2 score.

Perth Glory Form

Perth were unlucky in their opening two matches - they had their chances, but suffered 2-1 defeats against both Macarthur and Brisbane on the road.

Both of those teams are unbeaten heading into Round 4, so those weren't bad results at all in my eyes.

Glory then produced a thunderous performance to dismantle Adelaide in their first home game of the campaign last week, scoring three times in the opening 33 minutes before completing the 4-0 rout.

Newcastle Jets Form

Nightmare start to the season for the Jets and I think there's a very real chance they go from minor premiers to wooden spooners here.

We've seen better teams with more depth than Newcastle struggling with ACL Elite commitments in recent seasons and the early signs aren't good.

The Jets have leaked a whopping 19 goals in their four CL defeats, while they were on the wrong end of a 3-0 battering by Wellington in the A-League last week, leaving them winless after three rounds.
