Famalicao vs Arouca Predictions & Betting Tips - Tight Clash on the Cards in Liga Portugal

Famalicao take on Arouca in Liga Portugal, with a draw predicted as the most likely outcome. Famalicao have been inconsistent, drawing four of their last seven home matches, while Arouca are unbeaten under new manager Vítor Severino and have drawn three of their last four away games. Both sides have shown resilience and a tendency to share points, making a closely contested match probable. Neither team is expected to dominate, and a draw appears the most reasonable tip for this fixture.

Famalicao are as inconsistent as it gets and Arouca are yet to lose under new manager Vítor Severino. I don’t think there will be  much in this one, a draw the likely outcome.

Famalicao couldn’t win in their opening six matches of the season, their first win a 4-0 victory at Nacional. They were then thrashed 4-1 at home by Arouca.

Carlos Carvalhal was sacked after a 1-0 loss at third division club Paredes in the Portuguese Cup, Ricardo Silva taking over on a caretaker basis.

Silva guided Fama to an impressive 4-0 win at Rio Ave, Óscar Aranda scoring two late goals, They went to Braga for a League Cup quarter-final, earning a 2-2 draw before winning the penalty shootout.

Once again Famalicao failed to back it up. They faced Braga again in Liga Portugal but were thoroughly outplayed, ending with 0.16-1.71 xG in a 3-0 defeat.

Arouca Hard to Beat


Arouca have lost only twice this season, a 2-0 defeat at Porto and 2-1 home defeat to Santa Clara.

Vasco Seabra walked out of the club in October with Vítor Severino, former assistant to Luís Castro, given his first senior role.

It’s going well, the Wolves of the Serra beating Estreala da Amadora 1-0 before a 4-3 extra time victory at Belenenses in the Portuguese Cup.

Severino’s played against 10 men at Alverca and made it count with a 1-0 win. They repeated the feat against Nacional on Sunday, an own goal securing another 1-0 victory.

Verdict

Famalicao can’t be trusted to win as favourites, especially with Arouca unbeaten under Vítor Severino. This should be a close clash with both teams settling for a point.
