Hosts Off to a Good Start 


Sevilla are having their best La Liga starts in years, accumulating 17 points in 11 rounds and currently sit in 6th place. 

They had no problems against lower table teams at home, beating Rayo Vallecano 2-1, Valencia 1-0 and most recently Osasuna 2-0, but couldn't stop the big guns from claiming the spoils, losing to Atletico Madrid 3-1 and Barcelona 3-1. 

Last weekend, Los Rojiblancos had a 1-0 lead at half-time on their trip against Getafe but the back line collapsed later on, losing the encounter 3-1. 

Alaves Going Through Rough Period 


Alaves' manager Quique Sanchez Flores is under massive pressure after securing just two points from their last seven La Liga encounters, causing them to drop down to 11th place. 

They returned from the international break with a narrow 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid, then also lost to Celta in Vigo with the same scoreline, followed by a 1-1 home draw against strugglers Malaga (had 1.51-0.47 xG). 

Last weekend, Alaves stood no chance against the table leader Barcelona, suffering a heavy 6-1 loss at Camp Nou. Mariano Diaz scored a consolation just before stoppage time.
