Sirius are on a great path to win their first Allsvenskan trophy in club’s history, leading the title race with 35 points after 13 rounds, nine points above 2nd placed Hammarby. 

Their results at home have been almost impeccable, starting the 2026 campaign with five straight wins over Hammarby 2-0, Vasteras 4-1, Kalmar 3-2, Orgryte 2-0 and GAIS 2-1, while this run ended with a 4-4 draw against Mjallby in early July. 

In their most recent appearance, Sirius defeated Elfsborg 3-1 as visitors. Robbie Ure netted a brace, Mohamed Soumah also on target, while Isak Bjerkebo missed a penalty in the first half. 

Goteborg Struggling in July 


Goteborg are having an underwhelming Allsvenskan campaign this year, accumulating just 13 points in 13 matches and sit just above the relegation zone with the second-worst defensive stats in the league. 

They returned from the summer break with back to back defeats against AIK Stockholm 2-1 and Malmo 4-0, then barely beat Brommapojkarna 2-1 at home where the opposition had one player sent off in the first half. 

Goteborg were tagged huge favorites against Levadia in the Conference League qualifiers on Thursday at home but suffered a 2-1 shock defeat, allowing seven shots on target.
