West Bromwich Albion are showing strong performance at the top of the Championship, carrying momentum and confidence into their next match. In contrast, QPR's form is on a downturn, making them underdogs going into the encounter. The forecast recommends betting on a West Brom victory, with odds set at 2.16. The key recommendation is to back West Brom for another home win, leveraging their current form.

West Brom vs QPR Preview

West Brom are a hard-to-beat side at the Hawthorns and win a lot of home games. QPR’s strong start to the Championship season has tailed off recently and a Baggies home win is likely.

Back to Back Baggies Wins

  • West Brom have won their last 2 games.
  • West Brom have won 3 consecutive home matches against QPR.

H2H - West Brom Advantage

West Brom have a 27-18 advantage against QPR, alongside 13 draws.

West Brom Top of the Table

James Morrison’s West Brom are top of the Championship after taking 13 points from 18 available. The Midlands side have won four and lost just one of their six league fixtures.

The Baggies are undefeated in three home games, including victories against Burnley 3-1 and Watford 1-0. West Brom had 11 total shots on target in those two wins.

Morrison’s side secured back-to-back victories following a 1-0 triumph at Derby on Wednesday. Aune Heggebo scored the winner on 16 minutes and West Brom had just 33% possession.

QPR Dropping Championship Points

QPR made a positive start to the 2026/27 Championship and were undefeated in their opening four games.

The Hoops won three of those fixtures and their only dropped points came from a 0-0 home draw against Bolton.

The west Londoners’ unbeaten run ended with a 1-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough. QPR were outplayed, allowing 2.53 XG and facing 16 shots.

Julien Stephan’s side dropped more Championship points after a goalless stalemate at Charlton. The Rs had just two shots on target and 72% possession.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

West Brom (4-4-2): Max O'Leary; Nolan Galves, Nathaniel Phillips, George Campbell, Callum Styles; Harry Whitwell, Jayson Molumby, Ousmane Diakite, Isaac Price; Aune Heggebo, Jimmy-Jay Morgan

Defender Brayann Pereira was sent off against Derby and is suspended here.

Mikey Johnston is unavailable due to an ankle injury. West Brom’s Director of Medical explained that the winger would “be out for an extended period of time.”

QPR (4-4-2): Pierce Charles; Amadou Salif Mbengue, Jake Clarke-Salter, Ronnie Edwards, Dennis Cirkin; Harvey Vale, Glen Kamara, Nicolas Madsen, Paul Smyth; Alfie Lloyd, Rumarn Burrell

Attacking midfielder Ilias Chair is out injured until after the international break. Karamoko Dembele is also sidelined with a knee injury.

Defenders Jimmy Dunne and Tariq Lamptey came off injured against Charlton. Julien Stephan was unsure about the duo’s availability for the West Brom game and said:

“It’s difficult for me to give you more information about them because we have to assess them, but it doesn’t present very well.”

Verdict

West Brom are winning games and look confident at the top of the Championship. QPR are on the decline and the Baggies can notch another home victory here.
