A competitive field returns to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the third edition of the Bahrain Championship at the Royal Golf Club this weekend. Who will pocket the winner's cheque come Sunday?

Laurie Canter is back to defend his title after a playoff victory over Dan Brown in 2025.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Daniel Hillier

Daniel Hillier has been in excellent form on the DP World Tour during the last three months, placing T5 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, T16 at the DP World Tour Championship, T5 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, T6 at the Crown Australian Open, 2nd at the Dubai Invitational, and T26 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic last weekend.

Additional highlights achieved by Hillier last season include a T25 at the Qatar Masters, a T12 at the New Zealand Open, a T9 at the Hainan Classic, and a T26 at the KLM Open, a T23 at the Open de España, and a T9 at the DP World India Championship.

The New Zealander finished T24 overall at the Bahrain Championship on debut last year.

Hillier can convert his recent results into a winning performance in Bahrain come Sunday.

Thomas Detry

Thomas Detry has been performing well on the DP World Tour lately, placing T7 at the Genesis Championship, T6 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, and T14 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic last weekend.

Other prominent performances achieved by Detry on the PGA Tour last season include a T5 at the Sentry, a victory at the WM Phoenix Open, a T22 at the Valspar Championship, a T18 at the RBC Canadian Open, a T23 at the U.S. Open, and a T12 at the Amgen Irish Open.

The 33-year-old will make his debut at the Bahrain Championship this weekend.

Detry has been in solid form in recent outings and could win the title at the Royal Golf Club this weekend.

Andy Sullivan

Andy Sullivan has been in great shape on the DP World Tour since mid-October, placing T15 at the DP World India Championship, T4 at the Genesis Championship, T7 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, T34 at the DP World Tour Championship, T8 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T52 at the Dubai Invitational, and 2nd at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic last weekend.

Other notable results achieved by Sullivan in 2025 include a T23 at the Hainan Classic, a T11 at the Soudal Open, a T17 at the Austrian Alpine Open, a T7 at the KLM Open, a T17 at the Genesis Scottish Open, a T7 at the Nexus Championship, a T16 at the Danish Golf Championship, and 5th at the Betfred British Masters.

The four-time DP World Tour winner has made two appearances at the Bahrain Championship, finishing T43 in 2024 and T27 in 2025.

Sullivan has been on top of his game lately and can emerge victorious at the Royal Golf Club come Sunday.

Daniel van Tonder

Daniel van Tonder has been in solid form this season, placing T10 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T14 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, and T15 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.

Other noteworthy results achieved by van Tonder on the Challenge Tour and DP World Tour last year include a victory at the Mygolflife Open and SDC Open, and finishing T6 at the Cell C Cape Town Open, T9 at the NTT Data Pro Am, 5th at the Joburg Open, T17 at the Vierumaki Finnish Challenge, T9 at the Dutch Futures, and T3 at the Rolex Grand Final.

The South African golfer will make his debut at the Bahrain Championship this weekend.

Van Tonder has carried his form from the Challenge Tour into this year and can emerge as the winner in Bahrain this weekend.

Hillier has the form to win the Bahrain Championship this weekend.

Detry has been thereabouts lately and can lift the winner's trophy at the Royal Golf Club come Sunday.
