The BMW International Open takes place on the DP World Tour from July 2-5 with a high-class field teeing it up in Munich.

Dan Brown is back to defend his title after a two-stroke victory over Jordan Smith in 2025. These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Joaquin Niemann

Joaquin Niemann did not enjoy a successful start to his season on the DP World Tour after missing the cut at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, the Crown Australian Open, and the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

However, Niemann has been in better shape on the LIV Golf Tour and PGA Tour lately, placing T22 in Riyadh, T12 in Adelaide, T41 in Hong Kong, 4th in Singapore, T12 in South Africa, T20 in Mexico City, T8 in Virginia, T18 at the PGA Championship, victory in Korea, T24 in Andalucia, T7 at the U.S. Open, and 3rd at the Italian Open (DP World Tour) last weekend.

The eight-time LIV Golf winner will make his debut at the BMW International Open this weekend.

Niemann has been holding form since his previous victory and will fancy his chances of lifting the trophy in Munich this weekend.

Angel Ayora

Angel Ayora had a solid start to his season on the DP World Tour season, recording a T8 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, a T46 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, a T21 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, a T13 at the Dubai Invitational, and a T26 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic before missing the cut at the Bahrain Championship.

Ayora shrugged off that result, placing T5 at the Qatar Masters, T8 at the Magical Kenya Open, T9 at the Investec South African Open Championship, T18 at the Joburg Open, T28 at the Hainan Classic, and T11 at the Hero Indian Open in his subsequent six events.

The Spaniard lacked consistency after those performances, finishing T33 at the Volvo China Open, T18 at the Turkish Airlines Open, MC at the Catalunya Championship, and MC at the PGA Championship before bouncing back to form, placing T3 at the KLM Open and 5th at the Italian Open last weekend.

The 21-year-old has featured twice at the BMW International Open, missing the cut in 2024 before finishing T49 in 2025.

Ayora will look to cap off his recent results with a winning performance in Germany this weekend.

Abraham Ancer

Abraham Ancer had a fair start to his season on the DP World Tour, finishing T33 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship and T30 at the Crown Australian Open.

Ancer has been in solid form in the LIV Golf League and on the Asian Tour since those performances, placing T4 in Riyadh, T12 in Adelaide, T18 in Hong Kong, T39 in Singapore, T3 in South Africa, T22 in Mexico City, 3rd in Virginia, T5 at the Korea Open (Asian Tour), T29 in Korea, 3rd in Andalucia, and T22 at the International Series in Morocco.

The Mexican golfer will make his debut at the BMW International Open this weekend.

Ancer has been showing signs that he is ready to return to the winner's circle at Golfclub München Eichenried this weekend.

Calum Hill

Calum Hill had a mediocre beginning to his season on the DP World Tour, finishing T40 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T32 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, T47 at the Dubai Invitational, and MC at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic before placing T2 at the Bahrain Championship, and 2nd at the Qatar Masters.

Hill struggled with his game in his subsequent four starts, with results of MC at the Magical Kenya Open, T20 at the Investec South African Open Championship, MC at the Joburg Open, and T45 at the Hainan Classic.

However, the Scotsman has found some form lately, placing T6 at the Hero Indian Open, T59 at the Soudal Open, T17 at the Austrian Alpine Open, T14 at the KLM Open, and T19 at the Italian Open last weekend.

The two-time DP World Tour winner has made four appearances at the BMW International Open, finishing T17 in 2021, T10 in 2023, T32 in 2024, and MC in 2025.

Hill offers excellent value in Munich, as he has been there and thereabouts lately.

Verdict

Niemann has been in excellent touch lately and can emerge victorious at the BMW International Open come Sunday.

Ayora has been performing well lately and can win his maiden DP World Tour title this weekend.

Ancer has the form and can go all the way at Golfclub München Eichenried this weekend.

Hill has threatened to put in a big performance lately and should enter calculations in Germany.
