2025 1xBet Cup
As part of the expansion drive, 64 teams will compete in the main draw of the tournament - an increase of 24 teams from the 2024 edition.
The competition kicks off in July with the group stage, after which will come the playoffs, culminating in the final on October 9.
A prize pool of 20,000,000 NGN will be up for grabs, half of which goes to the 1xCup champion.
The excitement does not end there as there will also be special awards for players who stand out: with the MVP, top scorer, best goalkeeper, best coach and team of the tournament all in line for special awards.
There is also the fan favorite award while the scorer of the best goal gets a trip to the AFCON in December 2025.

The 1xCup continues to grow as the years progress and has come a long way since the 2023 edition which saw Bariga FC beat 40 other teams to claim the title and 1,000,000 NGN in prize money.
There was an increase in 2024 as FC Bethel Sporting walked away with 10,000,000 NGN from a prize pool of 20,000,000.
