The traditional Cambridge vs Oxford Boat Race runs on Saturday, April in 2025 with the Light Blues bidding for a third straight win on the River Thames in London.

It is the 170th time that Oxford and Cambridge will go head to head in the men's Boat Race.

The two crews will also clash in the 79th women's race, and Cambridge's Light Blues are favourites to win both races and do the double - just as they did in 2024 when outsiders in both races.

Cambridge have won five of the last six men's races, including the last two. The women's race has been a monopoly for Cambridge with seven straight wins since last losing in 2016.

Who will come out on top in one British sport's most anticipated battles? The races will be run on Saturday April 12.

Men's Boat Race 2025

Cambridge are the defending champions and chasing a hat-trick of wins following back-to-back victories in 2023 and 2024.

They upset the odds on both occasions but are heavily odds-on favourites in the Boat Race odds for 2025.

It is now five wins in the last six editions for Cambridge with their only defeat since 2017 coming in the 2022 race.

Cambridge now lead the head to head advantage to 87-81.

Women's Boat Race 2025

The 79th edition of the women's boat race also sees Cambridge start as clear favourites to continue their recent dominance of the event.

The Light Blues lead the head to head 48-30 and have cleared into open waters in recent years following seven straight victories.

Cambridge last lost in 2016 when going down by 24 lengths, but they have since reeled off wins by 11 lengths, 7 lengths, 5 lengths, 2.25 lengths, 4.5 lengths and 7 lengths.
