The Redblacks opened the season with a 29-21 home defeat to Edmonton, and then lost 44-24 to Toronto when they returned to action after an early bye week.
They dropped their first road game of the season, falling 37-35 in Montreal, and then followed up a 27-22 home defeat to Saskatchewan with a 40-17 blowout loss in Edmonton.
Ottawa’s miserable form continued with a heart-breaking 36-34 overtime defeat to Winnipeg, sending them into their second bye week at 0-6.
That became 0-7 last time out, as the Redblacks ended July with a 34-13 loss to Montreal.
Saskatchewan Roughriders Boast 5-2 Record
Saskatchewan have enjoyed a successful start to their defence of the Grey Cup, winning five of their first seven games of the season.
The Roughriders sat out Week 1 due to a bye, but when they did kick off their defence of the crown they downed the BC Lions at home, 31-27.
They followed that up with a 40-37 overtime success in Calgary, before rebounding from a 40-34 loss to Toronto with a 27-22 victory in Ottawa.
Saskatchewan then downed Hamilton at home, 38-7, to enter the bye week with a 4-1 record.
The Roughriders endured a losing return to action as they fell 37-34 at home to Edmonton, but they avenged that defeat a week later, beating the Elks 28-26 on the road to reach 5-2.
