UFC Fight Night Preview
The headline fight sees two former champions go head-to-head, as Dricus Du Plessis takes on Kamaru Usman in the middleweight division.
Du Plessis won the middleweight title in January 2024 when he beat Sean Strickland on points, and he made two successful defences – against Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland – before surrendering the belt last August.
He dropped a decision to Khamzat Chimaev in Chicago, but a victory here will strengthen his claims for a crack at the 185lb crown later this year.
Standing in his way is former welterweight champion Usman, who enjoyed a long reign over the 170lb division.
The Nigerian held the crown between March 2019 and August 2022, and made the move up to middleweight after suffering back-to-back defeats to Leon Edwards in welterweight title fights.
His debut at the new weight ended in a points loss to Chimaev, but he rebounded last June with a decision win over Joaquin Buckley at welterweight, and he will now look to back that up in his return to 185lbs.
But can Usman catapult himself into contention, or will Du Plessis remain a frontrunner for a title shot?
