After three bronze and two silver medals, Turkey finally earned their first EuroVolley gold in the previous edition in 2023, beating Serbia 3-2 in the grand final after a dramatic comeback.

Latvia Return After 33 Years
Latvia Women are very shy when it comes to European Championships, with this being their second appearance in the nation's history. The first one was in 1993, when they finished 9th.
The Latvians competed in the European League last season, snatching just two victories in six appearances to finish in 16th place.
They did cause some trouble in the final round, beating Greece 3-2 on the road, which caused the opposition to miss out on the final tournament.
