Rytas are tipped to win their fixture against Trabzonspor, with the main reasoning being the Lithuanian side's recent improvement in shooting performance. Trabzonspor, despite good overall results, have shown defensive weaknesses, especially when playing away against stronger teams. This combination of Rytas' offensive form and Trabzonspor's defensive issues forms the basis for the selection.

Match Preview

Trabzonspor are coming off a disappointing 93-90 home loss to Esenler Erokspor in the Super Lig, but they remain unbeaten in the FIBA Champions League. Can Rytas extend their winning streak to four games on Wednesday?

Rytas Tagged Light Favorites

Rytas started the new FIBA Champions League season by justifying their status as favorites at home, beating Sabah Baku 82-73, mainly thanks to excellent control of the paint (47-37 rebounds). Gytis Radzevicius delivered an outstanding performance with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

The Lithuanian side struggled badly in mid-October in the second round, suffering a heavy 93-65 defeat to Nanterre in France and allowing 58 points in the second half. Their three-point shooting was disastrous, as they made just three of 20 attempts.

Domestically, Rytas are enjoying a solid start to the new LKL campaign, claiming four victories in five appearances to sit in second place behind Zalgiris Kaunas.

Trabzonspor Unbeaten in Europe

Trabzonspor entered the final quarter of their FIBA Champions League opener against Nanterre with a ten-point advantage at home, but their opponents forced overtime, where the Turkish side eventually won 93-83. Marcus Keene was named man of the match after scoring 24 points.

They had no such problems in the second round, which was also played on Turkish soil, beating Sabah Baku 100-83. Their two-point shooting was excellent, with 20 of 33 attempts finding the target, while Akwasi Yeboah was the top performer this time with 22 points and six rebounds.

Trabzonspor were surely hoping for a better start to their Super Lig campaign. They have claimed three victories in five rounds and currently sit in 7th place.

Verdict

Trabzonspor's results have been good so far, but they are struggling defensively, especially against stronger teams on the road. Rytas' shooting numbers have been improving over the past couple of weeks, so I will back the Lithuanian side to win.
