Slovenia Facing Another Setback
Even though the start of the qualifying campaign was good, Slovenia ruined almost all the good work from the early stages with a couple of unexpected defeats in July, carrying over only three victories to the second phase.
They were beaten in their last two competitive appearances by Estonia, losing 93-62 in Tallinn, and Sweden, 88-79 at home, which heavily jeopardized their chances of appearing in Qatar.
Their biggest star player Luka Doncic is going to miss all the qualifying matches due to personal reasons, so a lot of the burden will be on veterans Klemen Prepelic, Gregor Glas and Ziga Samar.
