Hungary vs Estonia Live Stream & Tips – Home Advantage at FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers

Hungary have showcased a strong home-court advantage, claiming victories against Finland and Belgium in the previous round. Although they narrowly lost to France due to a last-second shot, their performance remains solid. Estonia, on the other hand, has faced difficulties on the road, which gives Hungary the edge in the upcoming match. The key recommendation is to back Hungary for another home win, given their recent form and Estonia's struggles on away games.

Match Preview

The last four head-to-head matches between these sides were friendlies, and now the stakes are very high since both have a decent shot to finish inside the Top 3 and qualify for the World Championship.

Hungary Looking Strong at Home

Hungary wrapped up the first qualifying round as the 3rd-placed team in Group G with a 3-3 record behind France and Finland, while entering this stage with the same number of points as all three upcoming opponents.

Gasper Okorn's side delivered an outstanding performance in the first round at home against Finland, with Zoltan Perl leading them to an 89-82 victory, but then lost twice to France and to Finland in the reverse tie.

The deciding moment came in the final round, when they outplayed already eliminated Belgium 85-70 to advance. Perl topped the charts once again with 19 points.

Estonia Hoping to Continue Their Surprise Run

Estonia are one of the most pleasant surprise packages of the opening stages, advancing to the second phase with an identical 3-3 record as Slovenia, Sweden and the Czech Republic but having better H2H stats to qualify.

They played two friendly matches ahead of this qualifying window, surprisingly beating Lithuania 110-108 in overtime, where Kristian Kullamae landed the winning shot at the buzzer, followed by a convincing 83-61 loss to Italy.

In their most recent competitive clash, the Estonians were narrowly beaten by the Czech Republic 75-73 in early July.

Verdict

Hungary were victorious against Finland and Belgium in their home matches in the previous round, while losing to France after conceding a three-pointer at the buzzer. Estonia struggled on the road, so I am backing the home side to win here.
