The LNB Finals get underway in Paris as the two strongest sides from the regular season battle for the French title. Paris had to overcome an early scare in the semifinals, while Monaco once again found a way to reach the grand final despite a turbulent campaign.

Paris were the most successful team in the French LNB regular season, finishing 1st with a 22-8 record, although they were pushed hard by 8th-seeded Strasbourg in the quarterfinals and needed three games to advance.
The start of the semifinal series against Cholet was rough too, losing in front of the home crowd 90-89, but they responded with two convincing victories 100-77 and 95-86 to take full control.
Paris closed out the series in Game 4 on the road, beating Cholet for the third straight time 94-91 even though their shooting numbers were poor (39% FG). Nadir Hifi hit several clutch shots and finished as top scorer with 26 points while shooting 8/17 from the field.
Monaco Having a Difficult Season
This entire season has been very controversial for Monaco, marked by inconsistency, a high number of injuries, players going on strike due to financial problems and a disappointing EuroLeague campaign, but they still found a way to reach the LNB Finals.
They cruised past Bourg 2-0 in the quarterfinals, while the semifinal series started with a dominant 103-88 home victory against Nanterre. The only setback came in Game 2 where Nanterre won 98-89, but Monaco still advanced comfortably in four games.
