The Oranges didn’t face many problems in the quarterfinal series against Bilbao, winning 83-80 and 88-71, then were properly challenged in one game by Joventut in the semifinals but still advanced 3-0.
The deciding Game 3 was played in Badalona, where Valencia claimed an 87-75 victory despite shooting just 35% from the field. They compensated with strong rebounding and controlled the boards 43-35. Jean Montero delivered another outstanding all-around performance with 24 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Barcelona finished 5th in the regular season with a 24-10 record and were pushed to the limit by Murcia in the quarterfinals, needing three games to advance. They secured the deciding clash 100-76 with Will Clyburn leading the way with 23 points.
Their level and offensive consistency improved drastically in the semifinal series against veteran-packed Tenerife, starting with two convincing home victories 100-67 and 97-89.
Game 3 on the road proved more complicated, with Barca trailing by eight points at halftime, but their offensive execution improved after the break. They scored 51 points in the second half and completed the sweep with an 85-79 victory. Clyburn topped the scoring charts once again with 19 points.
