Moses Itauma Form
Moses Itauma is a rising heavyweight fighter with a perfect professional record of 12-0 (10 KOs).
Itauma made his debut in January 2023 and raced out of the blocks with a couple of sub-one minute knockouts of Marcel Bode and Ramon Alberto Ibarra.
He then scored back-to-back decision wins in six-rounders, but he has not gone the distance in a fight since then.
The 20-year-old British heavyweight fought three more times in 2023, recording first-round stoppages of Amine Boucetta, Istvan Bernath and Michal Boloz.
Itauma began 2024 with another first-round success, stopping Dan Garber, and that would be the first of four fights that year that all ended in swift finishes.
Ilija Mezencev and Mariusz Wach both lasted two round, before Demsey McKean was taken out in less than two minutes.
Itauma then kicked off his 2025 with a second-round knockout of Mike Balogun back in May.
Dillian Whyte Form
Dillian Whyte is a former world heavyweight title challenger with a professional record of 31-3 (21 KOs).
Whyte’s first big fight came in December 2015 when he was knocked out by long-time rival Anthony Joshua in the seventh round.
He rallied from that loss though, and fought his way into world title contention over the next few years.
His first big win came in July 2018 when he beat former world champion Joseph Parker on points, and he then backed that up in December by stopping Derek Chisora in the 11th.
Whyte then beat the dangerous Oscar Rivas on points to win the interim WBC title, but that did not result in an immediate world title fight.
Instead of sitting on the sidelines waiting for a world title fight, the 37-year-old British heavyweight opted to remain active, and it almost cost him.
Having beaten Mariusz Wach on points, he suffered a shock fifth-round knockout loss at the hands of Alexander Povetkin to lose the interim title.
An immediate rematch was signed though and ‘The Body Snatcher’ was able to avenge that loss via a fourth-round stoppage.
Whyte received his long-awaited world title shot following that victory, but his night ended in disappointment as he was knocked out by Tyson Fury in the sixth round.
He has won his three fights since then though, following up a majority decision win over Jermaine Franklin with TKO successes against Christian Hammer and Ebenezer Tetteh.
Verdict
This represents the first major test of Moses Itauma’s career so far, and we expect him to pass that test.
Dillian Whyte is not the fighter he was a few years ago and he can be knocked out, so we expect Itauma to get the job done inside the distance.
