Anyone’s Legend vs EDward Gaming Betting Predictions

Anyone’s Legend and EDward Gaming are set to face off on Saturday, May 30, in the opening round of League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2026 Split 2 Playoffs.
EDG enter the playoffs following a big upset victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Knights’ Rivals. However, as impressive as that was, beating NiP and beating Anyone’s Legend are two entirely different tasks.

Even though Ninjas in Pyjamas have proven to be a competitive squad this split, they haven’t been very stable, nor have they shown the highs AL has. So, it is more than fair to say that Saturday’s game will present a much tougher challenge for EDward Gaming.

  • EDward Gaming have a massive mountain to climb
  • Anyone’s Legend are among LPL’s strongest teams
  • This is AL’s game to lose

Anyone’s Legend Are Expected to Make a Run

Anyone’s Legend have had a solid run through the group stage. They placed fourth with an 8-6 record, just above the cutoff line, mainly due to AL slowing down in the final weeks, going 1-3 over the last four games.

Over that stretch, Anyone’s Legend lost against Ninjas in Pyjamas, JD Gaming, and Bilibili Gaming, and defeated Team WE 2-1.

Anyone’s Legend seemed like they’ve figured out their early-game woes before the final stretch, before turning back into a pumpkin. The big question is whether Anyone’s Legend have ironed out their wrinkles ahead of the playoffs and will show more of the form they had in the weeks leading up to the final two in the regular season.

EDward Gaming Are Chasing Another Upset

EDward Gaming did not look great in Group Nirvana, with shaky performances against some of the league’s weakest teams – including Ultra Prime and Oh My God. Despite the iffy showings, however, EDG took down Ninjas in Pyjamas in Knights Rivals.

It was not a great game from either side. Ninjas in Pyjamas and EDward Gaming have both made many errors on the day, but EDG were simply better at punishing them. So, despite the fact that they managed to take down NiP, it is in no way indicative of EDward Gaming’s quality or their potential of beating Group Ascend squads.

Verdict

Anyone’s Legend have had their issues in the final stretch of the season, mainly with their early game. Weirdly enough, AL were one of the better early-game teams for most of the split, so they have it in them. The only question is whether AL will improve in that area before the playoffs begin.

EDward Gaming have exceeded expectations by making it this far, but it was mainly thanks to Ninjas in Pyjamas’ collapse in Knights Rivals. Even in that game, EDG tried really hard to lose, making poor decisions and throwing away huge leads. This will not go unpunished by AL.
