FURIA haven’t been all that convincing during this event. As pre-tournament favourites, FURIA were expected to have smooth sailing through the group stage, but it was anything but that.
They started the event with a close 2-1 victory against GamerLegion, then added a 2-0 sweep of the struggling PARIVISION, and lost the Group B upper bracket final against Legacy in a fairly one-sided game.
Legacy won that match with 13-7 on Mirage and 13-9 on Ancient, outperforming FURIA, who now enter the playoffs with a lot more to prove.
Considering what FURIA have shown in recent months, they have the tools to dominate FISSURE Playground #3. And with the stakes higher, they should produce better performances.

G2 Esports have qualified for FISSURE Playground #3 playoffs, but the road to this point hasn’t been that promising. G2 started the event with a close 1-2 loss against Astralis, and then made it through the lower bracket with wins against BIG, 9z Team, and 5star eSports.
Of the three wins, only the final one was convincing. BIG did not come that far off beating G2 with 13-8 on Cache, 7-13 on Mirage, and 10-13 on Ancient, and 9z caused them even more issues with 13-11 on Dust II, 8-13 on Ancient, and 10-13 on Inferno.
For a team of G2’s calibre, they were expected to show more. While G2 have been on an upswing of late, the results over the last week are not that inspiring.
