GamerLegion Have Potential
GamerLegion have been very underwhelming this season, leading to rumours of potential roster changes. They did not impress at the IEM Cologne Major (23rd-24th), failed to show up at Super DraculaN Season 1 (13th-16th), and they even crashed out of BLAST Bounty Summer in the first round.
At the Esports World Cup, however, GamerLegion have looked better. They managed to qualify for the playoffs via Group A upper bracket, where GL crushed Luminosity (13-3) and bested JiJieHao (2-0) with 13-3 on Dust II and 13-8 on Ancient.
Those were GameLegion’s best performance in weeks, and possibly a sign of good things to come. On the other hand, GL have yet to beat a good team, so they’re still untested – until Wednesday.
On a more positive note, this roster looks very good on paper. Moreover, FL4MUS and Tauson are both in exceptional form, averaging the tournament’s third and fourth-highest performance rating at 1.48 and 1.44. REZ is not too far behind either, at 1.38.

MOUZ Look Shaky
MOUZ won BLAST Bounty Summer ahead of their trip to France, so the expectations for them were high.
Yet very early into the Esports World Cup, MOUZ have started to show cracks, as they dropped eight rounds against Lynn Vision Gaming (13-8) and then lost against FUT Esports (1-2) in Group C upper bracket.
After two shaky performances, MOUZ woke up and swept PARIVISION with 13-4 on Dust II and 13-10 on Inferno. It was a good performance, but after two poor games, it's fair to question whether MOUZ can live up to expectations.
Quality-wise, MOUZ have everything they need to make a run for the trophy. But form-wise, they’re not at 100%.

This is MOUZ’s game to lose, as they are a more accomplished team. However, even though GamerLegion’s results with the new lineup haven’t been great, GL have a very strong roster, which is capable of great things.
For a long time, GamerLegion have been playing well below their capability, and even though they’ve yet to prove much, their performances in the EWC group stage are inspiring.
