Team Falcons have turned many heads this tournament. While this has long been one of the most stacked rosters in the world, the Falcons have become known as a team who are always a bridesmaid and never the bride, often making deep runs in bigger events, only to fall apart when faced with tougher opponents.
This issue, however, seems to have been resolved with the arrival of a new in-game leader, karrigan. While it may be too soon to say, the Falcons looked like a much better version of themselves against Team Vitality, when the Falcons showed they can perform in high pressure situation and not collapse, as they used to.
Assuming the Falcons have indeed improved in that area, they are more than ready to launch an attack on the Major trophy. They already have the individual talent to do so.

Team Spirit Continue to Roll
Team Spirit are arguably the most in-form team of the tournament. They have produced a perfect run through Stage 2, did not disappoint in Stage 3, and made it past G2 Esports in the quarterfinals to secure a top-four finish at the Cologne Major.
Their last outing, however, was a close battle.
Against G2 Esports, Spirit lost the first map (Overpass) 9-14, but managed to claw their way back into the game with an overtime win on Dust 2 (16-14). The series concluded with a drawn-out Mirage, which lasted for 47 rounds, eventually ending in Spirit’s favour 25-22.
While Spirit deserve recognition for edging out a win on the day, they’ve also not looked as dominant as expected. Sh1ro, in particular, underperformed, but thanks to donk’s (another) strong performance at 1.32, Spirit came out ahead.

Realistically, there is not much to set these two teams apart quality-wise. Spirit have beaten Falcons in their last two meetings, but they’ve yet to face the new, improved version of Falcons with karrigan.
While the stigma of the Falcons collapsing in high-pressure situations remains, their victory against Team Vitality is a good indication that they might have improved in that area.
