With the new lineup, Surge have potential to find some momentum, yet they entered the final week of the qualifiers with a 0-3 record, having lost against OpTic Texas (0-3), Paris Gentle Mates (0-3), and Boston Breach (2-3).

Los Angeles Thieves are on an 11-game winning streak and have recently won both the Stage 3 Major and Stage 4 Minor. While their record is nothing short of impressive, LA Thieves have been slacking a bit in Stage 4 qualifiers, dropping maps against G2 Minnesota (3-2) and Boston Breach (3-2).
This, however, can be explained. The four maps lost include Overload – Gridlock, Hardpoint-Gridlock, and Search & Destroy – Gridlock.
Those are some of LA Thieves’ weakest maps, so it is becoming evident that the Thieves are practising some of their worst maps in preparation for Major 4 qualifiers.
This makes them more vulnerable to drop maps, but due to their raw quality, the Thieves are never in real danger of losing the series.
