Team Vitality defeated Global Esports 2-1 in the first round of Group B for a promising start to VALORANT Champions 2026. It was also a good showing following a rough run through Stage 2.
This is a strong team with some very solid pieces. This is a very experienced roster internationally, with Chronicle, Derke, and even Jamppi with past experience competing in big events. So when it comes to high-pressure situations, you can be sure Vitality will step up.
The big question is Vitality’s form. Their win over GE is promising, but after an iffy run through Stage 2, Vitality have to show a bit more.

LOUD have looked excellent in Stage 2, and they’ve not shown any signs of slowing down in the first round of VALORANT Champions. In the opening round, LOUD defeated EDward Gaming 2-0, dropping just 13 rounds across the series.
LOUD won the match with 13-8 on Lotus and 13-5 on Summit, which is seriously impressive. But the actual weight of that win heavily depends on how highly EDG should be ranked.
While LOUD have more to prove, as an inexperienced team in international events, they haven’t shown any cracks so far. And with their star players all in top shape, LOUD are looking like a team that will be incredibly hard to stop.

LOUD are in excellent form and widely considered one of the dark horses to make a run for the trophy. They’ve shown good form in VCT Americas and didn't disappoint in the first round of VALORANT Champions either.
On the other side, Vitality had an underwhelming Stage 2, but did not look too shabby against Global Esports. Admittedly, Vitality have a lot more to prove, but this is a quality team with highly experienced players.
LOUD should be favoured, but Team Vitality definitely have the tools to force a close game.
