West Ham United has emerged as the Premier League club with the most football banning orders in the 2024/25 season, holding 112 orders, of which 39 were newly issued. The Home Office released these figures, revealing a total of 307 new bans issued this season across the league. While Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Everton complete the list of top order issuers, clubs like Bournemouth have the most disciplined following with only nine bans. FreeTips.com have gained access to the Home Office’s figures for total football banning orders in place at end of the 2024/25 season – including new bans imposed on Premier League clubs across the campaign.

The headline figures:

  • Total new Premier League bans issued in 2024/25 was 307
  • West Ham United holds the highest overall total with 112 banning orders, including 39 new ones
  • Manchester United has been replaced in top spot and now have 108 in total, 28 of which were new
  • Bournemouth have the best behaved fans with 9 total banning orders and 4 of them from 2024/25

There was a total of 307 newly issued bans during the 2024/25 campaign with the Hammers copping the most with 39, a figure which also moved them to the top of the overall list of banning orders in the top flight.

West Ham United holds the highest total with 112 banning orders according to the Home Office stats and have jumped above Manchester United with 108 in total, 28 of which were new.

Chelsea have recorded 80 total banning orders, with 31 issued during last season. Manchester City (76 total, 22 new) and Everton (69 total, 12 new) complete the top five in the Premier League banning order league table.

The bad news for those five clubs on the list is that they account for nearly half of all active orders.

Better Behaved

Despite big followings and attendances, Liverpool (62 total), Tottenham Hotspur (52), Arsenal (55) and Newcastle United (41) have avoided the heavy hand of the law. They recorded between 15 and 27 new orders in the 2024/25 season.

At the lower end, Fulham (14 total, 6 new), Nottingham Forest (27, 6), and Wolverhampton Wanderers (29, 11) recorded relatively few banning orders.

Bournemouth are the Premier League’s best behaved fans with just nine banning orders in place and five of those newly issued.

Relegated teams Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton totalled 36 banning orders last season and have been replaced by Burnley (28 total with 9 new orders), Leeds United (44, 12) and Sunderland (20, 6).
