Al-Ain vs Al-Nassr Predictions

Al-Ain and Al-Nassr meet at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Tuesday in an AFC Champions League Elite contest.

The UAE hosts will put up a decent fight, but should eventually fall to the quality of their Saudi visitors.

BTTS is my best bet, while I also have a stake on Al-Nassr to win with over 2.5 match goals.

Al-Ain and Al-Nassr have met on five occasions since 2020. Al-Nassr secured three wins while Al-Ain picked up two victories.

The Saudis eased to a 5-1 win in their most recent encounter in Riyadh in November 2024.

Al-Ain Extend Unbeaten Run

Al-Ain begin their AFC Elite campaign after a 2-2 draw with Al-Wasl in the UAE Pro League on Thursday.

Abdoul Traore put Al-Ain in front before Nicolas Gimenez equalised for Al-Wasl. Mehdi Taremi then gave the visitors the lead, but Valentino Lazaro rescued a point for the hosts with a late equaliser.

Vladimir Ivic’s men were frustrated not to claim all three points, with Al-Ain dominating the statistics. The hosts registered 21 shots to Al-Nassr’s eight and enjoyed 59% possession.

The UAE champions have made a solid start to the domestic season, winning their first four fixtures before last weekend’s draw with Al-Wasl.

Al-Ain will hope to improve on their dismal showing in their last AFC Elite appearance two years ago. The Boss finished bottom of the East Section with no wins after picking up just two points from eight fixtures.

Al-Nassr Held in SPL

Al-Nassr make the trip to the UAE after a frustrating 1-1 draw at Al-Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday.

Omar Mascarell headed Al-Khaleej in front just before half-time after a corner before Abdullah Al-Hamdan rescued a point in the 72nd minute.

Al-Nassr dominated the ball with 62% possession and registered 15 efforts on goal, but were unable to find a winner at EGO Stadium.

BTTS has now landed in each of Al-Nassr's last five matches, while two of those fixtures also finished with at least three goals scored. At least three goals were scored in all but one of their last eight matches.

A lack of clean sheets remains the biggest issue for the Saudi side. Ange Postecoglou’s side conceded at least one goal in 14 of 17 games played since April.

The Knights of Najd return to the AFC Champions League Elite after finishing runners-up in last season’s AFC Champions League Two, losing 1-0 to Gamba Osaka in the final.

Former Celtic forward Giorgos Giakoumakis is expected to feature with support from Moroccan international Soufiane Rahimi.

Al-Ain have no confirmed injury or suspension issues.
