Croatia and Brazil meet in a friendly in Orlando, with Croatia in superb form, having won eight of their last nine matches, while Brazil struggles for consistency under coach Carlo Ancelotti. Despite their historical head-to-head advantage over Croatia, Brazil faces challenges, particularly following their recent defeat to France. The prediction sees both teams scoring, but Croatia could claim a positive result. Croatia aims to maintain their momentum, while Ancelotti may make adjustments to improve Brazil's form.

Croatia vs Brazil Predictions

Croatia can claim a positive result in a game where both nations should get on the scoresheet. BTTS is a solid choice, while I also fancy the Europeans to at least avoid defeat.

Croatia in Fine Form

  • Croatia won 8 of their last 9 matches
  • Croatia are unbeaten in 11 of their last 12 matches
  • Croatia have seen BTTS in their last 3 matches
  • Brazil have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 4 matches
  • Brazil failed to win 8 of their last 13 matches

Brazil Lead Croatia in the H2H Record

Croatia and Brazil will meet for the sixth time on Tuesday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. Brazil won three of the previous five encounters, while two matches finished level.

Croatia claimed a famous World Cup victory on penalties in Qatar four yers ago.

Croatia Maintain Fine Form

Croatia return to Florida in high spirits after an excellent comeback win against Colombia last week. Jhon Arias gave the Colombians an early lead inside three minutes, but goals from Luka Vuskovic (6') and Igor Matanovic (42') secured a fine victory at Camping World Stadium.

Despite a largely Colombian crowd in Florida, the Croats showed greater composure to end their South American opponents' nine-game unbeaten run.

Zlatko Dalic's side have been in superb form over the past year. Croatia won eight and drew one of nine unbeaten fixtures since a Nations League defeat against France 12 months ago.

Clinical in attack, the Croats scored 28 goals in those nine matches.

Ranked 11th in the FIFA rankings, Dalic's men have lost only two of 16 international fixtures since September 2024.

Brazil Struggles Continue

Brazil come into Tuesday’s international friendly after a frustrating 2-1 defeat to France last week. Despite facing 10 men for much of the second half following Dayot Upamecano's dismissal, Carlo Ancelotti’s side were unable to match the quality of their European opponents.

The Selecao again proved profligate in front of goal, with 17 shots generating an xG of only 1.57. Despite conceding only seven shots, goals from Kylian Mbappe and Hugo Ekitike condemned the Brazilians to defeat in Massachusetts.

Brazil have struggled for consistency under former Real Madrid boss Ancelotti. The five-time World Cup winners are now winless in two matches following a lacklustre 1-1 draw against Tunisia last November.

Ancelotti's inconsistent side have now failed to win four of their last six internationals. Surprise defeats against Japan (3-2) and Bolivia (1-0) during that run highlight the unpredictable nature of the current Selecao.

Clean sheets have also been somewhat elusive. Brazil conceded six goals in their last four internationals, with at least one goal leaked in nine of 15 previous fixtures.

Predicted Lineups and Team News

Croatia (3-4-2-1) Dominik Livakovic; Martin Erlic, Luka Vuskovic, Marin Pongracic; Marco Pasalic, Petar Sucic, Nikola Moro, Josip Stanisic; Nikola Vlasic, Mario Pasalic; Petar Musa

Croatian boss Zlatko Dalic is unlikely to make too many changes from the side that impressed against Colombia. Josip Stanisic and Petar Musa could come into the starting XI after their half-time introductions, replacing Ivan Perisic and Igor Matanovic, respectively.

Man City duo Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic are notable absentees from the Croatia squad.

“We conceded very early, in the second minute, in front of a full stadium against an opponent who immediately put pressure on us,” he said.

“But we showed character, energy and strength. We came back into the match and played very well.”

Brazil (4-3-3) Ederson; Danilo, Bremer, Leo Pereira, Dodo Santos; Gabriel Sara, Casemiro, Andre Santos; Luiz Henrique, Joao Pedro, Vinicius Jr

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti could make several changes to his XI this week. Luiz Henrique and Joao Pedro are both in line to start after their second-half introductions, while Danilo and Gabriel Sara could also earn places in the selection.

Neymar's name was chanted by the American crowd in the 2-1 defeat against France, much to Carlo Ancelotti's frustration.

“We should be talking about those who were here, who played, who gave their all, who stepped up, and who worked hard,” the Italian said“I am satisfied.”

Verdict

Croatia have the quality to claim a positive result, with both teams likely to score in Tuesday’s US-based friendly.

BTTS is my best bet, while a Croatia win or draw also looks a great value choice.
