In the upcoming Premier League match between Leeds United and Brentford, both teams find themselves in a similar situation—struggling to convert matches into wins while drawing multiple games. Given their recent form and head-to-head stats, a draw seems highly plausible. The anticipated result is a 1-1 finish, according to betting predictions. As equally matched opponents, both will need to overcome their recent shortcomings to secure a decisive victory, but the likelihood leans heavily on another stalemate.

H2H - Even Record

Leeds have a 15-13 advantage against Brentford, alongside 17 draws.

Leeds Are Inconsistent

Leeds are 15th in the Premier League and sit three points above the relegation zone. The Whites have been inconsistent all season, drawing 11 and failing to win consecutive league games.

Daniel Farke’s team were winless in five consecutive matches from February to March. They drew three in that period at Chelsea 2-2, Birmingham 1-1 and Aston Villa 1-1.

The Whites ended that streak with a 3-0 home win against second-tier Norwich in the FA Cup.

Leeds drew again on Sunday following a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace. Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed a penalty and Leeds restricted Palace to just 0.68 XG.

Brentford Are Draw Specialists

Keith Andrews’ Brentford are in European contention and sit seventh in the Premier League table. The Bees have been less convincing recently, dropping points in four of their last five league fixtures.

Brentford’s most recent victory was a 4-3 win at Burnley, where Mikkel Damsgaard scored a 93rd-minute winner. Three draws in a row followed, including stalemates at Bournemouth 0-0 and West Ham 2-2.

The London side dropped further Premier League points after drawing 2-2 with Wolves at home. Michael Kayode and Igor Thiago scored in the opening 37 minutes before Brentford conceded either side of half time.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Leeds (5-3-2): Karl Darlow; Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Jaka Bijol, James Justin; Ilia Gruev, Ethan Ampadu, Anton Stach; Brenden Aaronson, Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Wing-back Gabriel Gudmundsson is suspended following his sending off against Crystal Palace.

Noah Okafor is in contention to feature against Brentford on Saturday. Daniel Farke confirmed the attacker’s availability and said, “Better, back in team training since the beginning of the week.

“So, everyone is available, no one is out. It is a good situation to be in in March, just in the last game before the international break.”

Brentford (4-2-3-1): Caoimhin Kelleher; Michael Kayode, Nathan Collins, Sepp van den Berg, Keane Lewis-Potter; Jordan Henderson, Mathias Jensen; Dango Ouattara, Yehor Yarmolyuk, Kevin Schade; Igor Thiago

Attacker Fabio Carvalho and defensive trio Antoni Milambo, Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey are injured. Midfield pair Joshua Dasilva and Vitaly Janelt are also out with long-term injuries.

Mikkel Damsgaard is also in doubt due to a recent knee injury. Keith Andrews provided a recent update on the midfielder’s condition and said, “He will be a concern and I haven’t spoken to the medics yet.

“He had an injury a few weeks ago against Forest. It has been frustrating and he has played throughout a lot of pain, so we have to see how he is.”

Verdict

Leeds and Brentford haven’t won many games recently and both sides draw plenty. Another Premier League stalemate is anticipated between these well-matched Premier League sides.
