Liverpool and Arsenal face off at Anfield in the Premier League, with both teams showing resilient form and strong attacking records. The main recommendation is for the match to end in a draw, as both sides have proven difficult to beat. Backing both teams to score (BTTS Yes) is also advised, given their consistent goal-scoring. A 1-1 draw is suggested as a correct score option, reflecting expectations of a tightly contested match. The tips focus on the draw, BTTS, and a 1-1 result, with no outcome guaranteed.

Liverpool vs Arsenal Preview

Liverpool score plenty of goals and rarely lose at Anfield. Arsenal are tough to beat, concede on the road and a Premier League score draw is predicted.

Key Stats - BTTS Regulars

  • Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 5 games.
  • Liverpool have seen BTTS in 4 of their last 5 matches.
  • Arsenal have drawn their last 2 away matches.

H2H - Recent Draws

Liverpool have a 96-83 advantage against Arsenal, alongside 67 draws.

Liverpool on a Strong Unbeaten Run

Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool started the 2026/27 campaign with a seven-match unbeaten run, including three draws. The Merseysiders also saw BTTS in four of those fixtures.

Liverpool’s only defeat of the new season was a 3-0 loss against Man City at Anfield. The Reds replied with four consecutive wins against LASK 6-3, Brentford 2-1, Villarreal 4-3 and Brighton 2-0.

Iraola’s outfit were held to a 1-1 home draw against Chelsea in the EFL Cup before winning 6-5 on penalties. Liverpool had 2.1 XG, conceded first and Cody Gakpo levelled just before half time.

Arsenal Showing Weaknesses on the Road

Arsenal also made an impressive start to the season and won their opening seven matches in all competitions.

That winning streak ended with a 3-0 loss at Brighton as Arsenal faced 17 shots and allowed 1.31 XG. The Gunners beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 in their next away game before drawing two in a row.

The north Londoners’ mini-drawing streak started with a 2-2 stalemate at Bayern Munich. Arsenal were second best with 1.69-2.46 XG and Declan Rice scored an 82nd-minute equaliser.

Mikel Arteta’s then suffered a shock EFL Cup exit at fourth-tier Fleetwood after a 1-1 draw and 5-3 defeat on penalties. The Gunners trailed after 21 minutes, attempted 26 shots and Viktor Gyokeres levelled early in the second half.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Ronald Araujo, Jeremy Jacquet, Virgil van Dijk, Milos Kerkez; Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister; Bradley Barcola, Florian Wirtz, Cody Gakpo; Alexander Isak

Striker Hugo Ekitike is ruled out with a long-term Achilles issue. Defensive trio Conor Bradley, Jeremie Frimpong and Giovanni Leoni are also sidelined due to injury.

Winger Victor Munoz and midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai are injury doubts for the Arsenal clash. Andoni Iraola was cautious over the duo’s fitness recently and said, “With Dom and Victor, I'm not so sure.”

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): David Raya; Ben White, Ezri Konsa, Gabriel, Piero Hincapie; Declan Rice, Bruno Guimaraes; Noni Madueke, Martin Odegaard, Eberechi Eze; Kai Havertz

Forward Max Dowman is suspended. Defender William Saliba is ruled out with a back problem and Attacker Bukayo Saka has a quadriceps injury and won’t feature.

Riccardo Calafiori is doubtful after a recent injury. Mikel Arteta was unsure about the defender’s recovery time and said:

“It was because he had a slight issue, we don't know what it is, it seems to be something very small, but he was cautious about it.”

Verdict

Liverpool and Arsenal are in hard-to-beat form and can share the Premier League points at Anfield. Both sides get amongst the goals and BTTS also has good value.
