Liverpool vs Fulham Preview

Liverpool have been high-scoring and tough to beat under Andoni Iraola. Fulham look shaky in defence and a home win with over 2.5 goals is the best bet.

Key Stats - Liverpool in Winning Form

  • Liverpool have won their last 2 games.
  • Liverpool have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 2 home matches.
  • Fulham have lost 3 consecutive matches.

H2H - Reds Advantage

Liverpool have a 46-14 advantage against Fulham, alongside 21 draws.

Liverpool Looking to Build on Consecutive Wins

Liverpool have made a solid start with Andoni Iraola as the new manager. The Reds are on a six-match unbeaten run and have scored exactly two goals in five consecutive games.

The Merseyside outfit drew 2-2 in two consecutive fixtures to start the new campaign. A comeback draw at Newcastle came before another home stalemate against Nottingham Forest.

Iraola’s side then showed their quality in a solid 2-0 victory at Ipswich. Alexander Isak scored twice early on and Liverpool had seven shots on target.

The Reds sealed another victory on Wednesday, beating Atletico Madrid 2-1 at home in the Champions League. Liverpool conceded after 17 minutes and  Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister scored either side of half time.

Fulham Struggling Near the Bottom of the Table

Alvaro Arbeloa has struggled to generate momentum at Fulham since his summer appointment. The London team are winless in seven matches under Arbeloa and have lost five.

Three of those defeats have come in the 2026/27 Premier League campaign. Fulham lost 3-2 at home against Chelsea and lost 1-0 at Sunderland, allowing over 2XG in each loss.

The Cottagers’ defensive issues continued following a 3-2 home defeat against Crystal Palace. Josh King and Cesar Palacios put Fulham ahead twice before they allowed 1.97 XG and conceded three goals.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Ronald Araujo, Jeremy Jacquet, Virgil van Dijk, Konstantinos Tsimikas; Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister; Victor Munoz, Florian Wirtz, Rio Ngumoha; Alexander Isak

Attacker Cody Gakpo, Hugo Ekitike and Federico Chiesa are ruled out through injury. Defenders Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez and Giovanni Leoni are also injured.

Defender Milos Kerkez and winger Bradley Barcola came off injured against Atletico Madrid. Andoni Iraola played down Barcola’s withdrawal post-match and said:

“It was just cramp. We have been rushing Bradley a little bit because he hadn’t played any minutes in pre-season. We wanted him to play but said to just give us whatever he had. We have another game in three days.”

Fulham (4-2-3-1): Bernd Leno; Timothy Castagne, Joachim Andersen, Calvin Bassey, Antonee Robinson; Shea Charles, Sander Berge; Oscar Bobb, Josh King, Alex Iwobi; Gonzalo Garcia

Midfielder Tom Cairney is unavailable due to a long-term knee injury.

Verdict

Liverpool will want to maintain their winning momentum at Anfield. The Reds know how to score and can put goals past a leaky Fulham side.
