As Manchester City prepares to face Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final, trends indicate a high-scoring match. Man City has consistently found the back of the net at home, and Liverpool has had difficulties maintaining clean sheets. Betting experts suggest wagering on both teams to score (BTTS) and the total goals surpassing 2.5, reflecting the anticipated offensive dynamics of the matchup. H2H - Goals Standout

Liverpool have a 110-62 advantage against Man City, alongside 58 draws.

Man City Get Amongst the Goals at Home

Man City won at home in their opening two FA Cup matches this season, beating Exeter 10-1 and Salford 2-0. The Citizens also beat Newcastle 3-1 away in the fifth round.

Pep Guardiola’s side struggled for momentum after the Newcastle victory and were winless in three. City lost 3-0 and 2-1 against Real Madrid in the Champions League and drew 1-1 at West Ham in the Premier League

The Citizens ended that mini-winless run with a 2-0 EFL Cup final win against Arsenal. City controlled the game with 1.51-0.64 XG and Nico O'Reilly scored twice in the second period.

Liverpool’s Defence is Shaky

Arne Slot’s Liverpool started their FA Cup run with a 4-1 win against Barnsley. The Mersersiders progressed further with victories against top-flight opponents Brighton 3-0 and Wolves 3-1.

The Reds lost 1-0 at Galatasaray after the Wolves cup triumph. A 1-1 Premier League draw at home against Tottenham followed.

Liverpool replied with a 4-0 home win against Galatasaray, attempting 4.87 XG and 16 shots on target.

Slot’s side couldn’t build momentum and lost 2-1 at Brighton before the international break. Liverpool were outplayed, facing 16 shots and allowing 2.18 XG, and Milos Kerkez scored a first-half consolation goal.

Verdict

Man City see a lot of goals at home and Liverpool have struggled for clean sheets recently. It’s worth sticking with BTTS and over 2.5 goals in the FA Cup quarter-final.
