Porto are tipped to return to winning ways against a goal-shy Casa Pia side in Liga Portugal. Casa Pia have not scored in their last five matches and suffered a heavy 7-0 loss to Benfica, making them strong relegation candidates. Porto, who recently lost to Manchester City, are expected to confidently secure a win to nil, with in-form Borja Sainz highlighted as a likely scorer. Fans can catch the clash live online via Stake with a funded account, while responsible betting is encouraged.

No Goals for Casa Pia

Casa Pia narrowly avoided relegation last season but they look like certainties for the drop this campaign.

Filipe Coelho’s side haven’t scored in five matches, losing four straight including a 7-0 home defeat to Benfica.

The Geese are coming off a 0-0 draw in Guimaraes where they had 26% possession and 0.21-2.42 xG.

Coelho addressed the goal drought after the match: “It's a matter of centimeters, the shots we hit the post, last week there were two against Moreirense, we would have won.”

“Today another one where we could have started winning. The signings, Henrique Araújo and Salah, are to increase the quality. With another week we will have more availability.”

Reality Check for Porto

Porto had a tremendous start to the season, winning to nil in their opening five matches. They beat Torreense 1-0 to claim the Super Cup.

The Dragons began their Liga Portugal campaign with 2-0 victories over Alverca, Rio Ave and Arouca. The run continued at Academico Viseu, three first half goals securing a 3-0 victory.

Francesco Farioli’s side finally conceded against Moreirense but turned it around to win 2-1. William Gomes registered a goal and an assist as Porto ended with 70% possession and 9-2 shots on target.

The Champions League provided a wake up call, in the shape of a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City. Porto were outplayed, ending the contest with 36% possession, 5-20 shots and 0.28-2.32 xG.

Farioli talked about positives after the loss: “I leave with a positive feeling. We competed against one of the best teams in the world, without five of our key players.

“The players who replaced them played a fantastic game… The result wasn't what we wanted, but I leave with a good feeling about the performance.”

Verdict

Casa Pia haven’t scored this season and against the best defence in Portugal, I don’t see that changing.

Porto were humbled by Man City and couldn’t have asked for a better fixture to regain confidence. Borja Sainz is sure to start and has a great chance to get on the score sheet.
