Getafe vs Brighton Betting Tips & Predictions - Seagulls Conference League Win on the Cards

Brighton are predicted to win away against Getafe in the Europa League, with over 2.5 goals in the match. This tip is based on both teams' high-scoring tendencies and Getafe's poor recent form. An additional selection is over 3.5 goals, reflecting the likelihood of an open, attacking contest. The main recommendation is Brighton to win with over 2.5 goals, but the outcome is not certain and the tips are not guarantees.

Getafe vs Brighton Preview

Getafe’s long-term form is unconvincing and Brighton will be confident after beating Man City on Saturday. The Seagulls have hit top form this season and can secure another win in the Conference League.

Key Stats - Seagulls Win a Lot

  • Getafe have lost 2 of their last 4 matches.
  • Getafe have seen over 3.5 goals in 4 consecutive games.
  • Brighton have won 7 of their last 10 games.

Getafe and Brighton have one win each in two previous meetings.

Getafe Are Lacking Consistency

Spanish side Getafe have struggled for rhythm in the 2026/27 campaign. They have failed to win in 11 of their opening 16 fixtures in all competitions.

Jose Bordalas’ team were on a five-match winless run between September and October. Getafe drew 1-1 at Universitatea Craiova and lost 5-2 against Lugano in the Conference League during that period.

The Dark Blues’ winless run continued with a 4-0 league loss at Athletic Bilbao. Bordalas’ side then hit back with a 3-2 Copa Del Rey victory over sixth-tier side Lebrijana.

Getafe secured consecutive wins for the first time since August after a 3-1 home triumph against Sevilla. The Dark Blues trailed 1-0 after 19 minutes before Enes Unal, Martin Satriano and Orel Mangala scored in the second half.

Brighton in Positive Recent Form

Brighton have lost just two of their 15 matches in all competitions this season and have won nine.

The Seagulls won six matches in a row, including a 4-0 Conference League victory at home against Kauno Zalgiris. Fabian Hurzeler’s side drew 0-0 at Jablonec in their following European fixture and dominated with 26 shots and 72% possession.

The Premier League outfit fell to a rare loss at Liverpool 2-0 before holding Man City to a 2-2 EFL Cup draw. Brighton created the better chances at City with 1.8-0.76 XG.

Hurzeler’s team returned to the Etihad on Saturday and beat City 1-0 in the Premier League. Yasin Ayari scored in the 11th minute and Brighton closed out the victory.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Getafe (4-4-2): David Soria; Kiko Femenia, Djene, Sebastian Boselli, Johan Mojica; Ramon Terrats, Nemanja Gudelj, Orel Mangala, Mario Martin; Ivan Azon Monzon, Martin Satriano

Attacking duo Juanmi and Christantus Uche are ruled out with long-term injuries. Defender Zaid Romero is also unavailable due to a muscle problem.

Brighton (4-2-3-1): Bart Verbruggen; Mats Wieffer, Luka Vuskovic, Michael Svoboda, Jaouen Hadjam; Pascal Gross, Malick Yalcouye; Matt O'Riley, Jack Hinshelwood, Ibrahim Osman; Georginio Rutter

Forwards Karou Mitoma, Zadok Yohanna, Evan Ferguson, Femi Azeez and Stefanos Tzimas are sidelined due to injury.

Defenders Pascal Struijk and Ferdi Kadioglu could return for the Getafe match. Fabian Hurzeler was hopeful that Kadioglu would be available after a recent hip issue and said:

"Hopefully he can recover now the next days. We have one more day than usual so I'm quite positive there's an option for Thursday [Getafe].”

Verdict

Brighton are likely to have too much quality for out-of-form Getafe. Both sides are in high-scoring form and a Europa League away win with over 2.5 goals is tipped.
