Porto host Arouca in a much-anticipated Liga Portugal clash, with both teams entering on solid form. Porto have yet to concede this season and hold an impressive record against Arouca, making them favorites on home turf. Arouca's away form has been less convincing, and with key players missing, the recommendation is Porto to win to nil. The match promises high intensity, with Porto expected to secure another vital three points. Don’t miss our betting tips and live streaming guide for this crucial encounter.

Porto have won their first three matches without conceding a goal. Arouca hardly looked like scoring in their only road game this season, so I am backing the Dragons to win to nil once again.

Porto have an 18-2 advantage against Arouca alongside one draw. The Dragons have won four straight, scoring 13 goals with one conceded.

Perfect Start For Porto

Porto won Liga Portugal last season and began the new campaign by claiming the Super Cup. Victor Froholdt’s first half goal was the difference in a 1-0 win against Torreense.

The Dragons made a winning start to their title defence, André Silva and Gabri Veiga converting penalties in a 2-0 victory over Alverca,. Diogo Costa was strong in goal, keeping yet another clean sheet.

Francesco Farioli’s side are coming off a comfortable 2-0 win at Rio Ave. They had 1.98-0.57 xG in Vila do Conde where Nehuén Pérez and Borja Sainz found the net.

Farioli continued to talk about improvement after the victory: “We have to continue working. It was an important result and some improvement was noticeable.”

“We knew it wasn't an easy pitch and that the opponent was very physical and well-organized, but we managed some situations better. We were effective and the result was very important.”

Arouca Flying High

Arouca have had a perfect start to the season, starting with a fortunate 1-0 win at Vitoria de Guimarães. They had 4-24 shots and 0.42-.25 xG, Barbero scoring early in the second half.

Barbero scored again in a thumping 4-0 victory over Moreirense. Nais Djouahra registered two assists to make it three in two games, setting up Dylan Nandin in added time.

Vasco Seabra praised his attack after the win: "It's a fantastic start to the league. In Guimarães we didn't have as much quality up front, but today we did."

"We had a fantastic first half, with a lot of intensity and rhythm. We need to keep working, because we still have a lot to do."

Verdict

Arouca have won two straight this season but had a lot of luck in their only away game. I am expecting Porto to dominate at home once again and come away with a win to nil.
