This Premier League encounter is tipped to produce fireworks, with the smart bets being both teams to score (BTTS) and over 2.5 goals. Brighton in Good Scoring Form at Home

Fabian Hurzeler’s Brighton had a solid home record last season and were unbeaten in 15 of 19 games at the Amex. The south coast side scored 30 home goals in the 2025/26 campaign.

Brighton ended last season with a 3-0 home defeat against Man United. They hit back with a 4-3 friendly win against Strasbourg and a 3-0 home victory over AS Roma.

The Seagulls completed their pre-season preparations with another home win against Bologona 1-0.

Hurzeler’s side started the 2026/27 campaign with a 0-0 Conference League Qualifier draw at Tromso. Brighton dominated with 25 shots, 68% possession and couldn’t find the breakthrough.

Aston Villa Shaky at the Back in Pre-Season

Aston Villa have had a turbulent pre-season and sold key players. Lucas Digne, Youri Tielemans and Morgan Rogers were among Villa’s high-profile departures.

The Villans had mixed results on the pitch, losing five of their eight pre-season games, conceding 14.

Unai Emery’s team are on a three-match losing streak. This run started with a 2-1 loss against Bayern Munich and a 2-1 defeat to PSG in the UEFA Super Cup.

Another 2-1 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach capped Villa’s pre-season. The Birmingham outfit conceded twice in the opening 35 minutes and John McGinn scored a late consolation.
