Thailand Maintain Perfect Record
Thailand arrive in Singapore after finishing top of Group B with four wins from four. Worachit Kanitsribampen and Jehhananafee Mamah scored penalties as the Thais eased to a 2-0 win against Myanmar at Rajamangala Stadium last week.
Anthony Hudson’s side began their campaign with a commanding 5-0 victory against Laos before seeing off Malaysia 2-0 in Bangkok.
A narrow 1-0 win against the Philippines secured early qualification from Group B, before their comfortable victory against Myanmar completed an impressive first round.
The War Elephants scored ten goals without conceding during the group stage and have now won nine of their previous 11 international fixtures.
Seven-time ASEAN Championship winners, Thailand finished as runners-up in 2024 after losing 5-3 on aggregate to Vietnam.

Lee acknowledged Singapore’s poor recent record against Thailand but insisted that past results would have no bearing on Saturday’s semi-final.
“All these numbers just give you context. They inform you, but they don’t own us. If we allow the numbers to own us, then shame on us. They only inform us of the kind of challenge we can expect,” Lee said.
“Ultimately, the only number is one. We are focused on the next one, which is the next game, and that’s our responsibility.”

Hudson praised Thailand’s squad depth and expressed his delight at the performances of several less-heralded players during the tournament.
“I think it’s the players,” Hudson replied when asked about his team’s greatest strength.
“We know it has been difficult for most teams to put a squad together, but we were fortunate to assemble a group that has worked incredibly hard since day one.
“We’ve been able to rotate the squad and protect the five players who were on yellow cards. As a coach, I feel very fortunate to have a group that has stepped up whenever needed.”
