Swansea City has shown strong performance in their home games during the Championship, earning a significant portion of their points at home. In contrast, Middlesbrough seems to struggle when playing away. This disparity in performance suggests that betting on Swansea to either win or draw in their upcoming game could be advantageous. With current odds of 1.91, this option presents a good opportunity for bettors looking to leverage Swansea's home-field advantage against a shaky Middlesbrough side.

Middlesbrough have a 27-20 advantage against Swansea, alongside 12 draws.

Swansea in Decent Home Form

Swansea are a strong home side and have gained 35 of their 53 Championship points in South Wales. Only one other team has a better home record than the Swans across the last 10 matches.

Vitor Matos’ team were undefeated in 10 successive league games at home, winning eight. That streak ended with a 3-0 loss against top of the table Coventry before the March internationals.

The Swans came from behind twice to draw 3-3 at Sheffield United last time out. Swansea had 1.96 XG and Zan Vipotnik, Adam Idah and Ji-Sung Eom scored to complete the comeback.

Middlesbrough’s Promotion Challenge Stuttering

Kim Hellberg’s Middlesbrough have dropped out of the Championship’s top two after a big drop off in form. The Teesside club have won just two of their last nine games and sit third in the table.

Boro have failed to win in their last four fixtures. They dropped points in a 1-0 home loss to Charlton and drew with Bristol City 1-1 and Blackburn away 0-0.

Middlesbrough’s promotion push took a big hit on Friday after a 2-1 home defeat against Millwall. Dael Fry struck in the first hald and Boro conceded twice in the second period.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Swansea (4-3-3): Lawrence Vigouroux; Joel Ward, Ben Cabango, Cameron Burgess, Josh Tymon; Goncalo Franco, Marko Stamenic; Melker Widell; Ronald, Zan Vipotnik, Ji-Sung Eom

Attacker Zeidane Inoussa has a back issue and won’t feature.

Josh Key is also unavailable due to a hip problem. Vitor Matos explained that the defender would miss out on the Middlesbrough clash and said, "It could be more than the two games over Easter.

"For sure he will not be available for Sheffield United and Middlesbrough, and probably not the next one after that, but we will see."

Middlesbrough (3-4-2-1): Solomon Brynn; Luke Ayling, Adilson Malanda, Dael Fry; Callum Brittain, Riley McGree, Aidan Morris, Jeremy Sarmiento; Alan Browne, Tommy Conway; David Strelec

Defenders Alfie Jones, Darragh Lenihan and Sam Silvera are out with long-term injuries.

Midfielders Hayden Hackney and Leo Castledine and forward Morgan Whittaker are also unavailable. Kim Hellberg ruled the trio out of the Swansea match and said, "They are not going to play on Monday. Hopefully, a week or two for them.

“And of course it’s a blow. Hayden's the best player in the league and Morgan is our top goalscorer.”

Verdict

Swansea gain most of their Championship points at home and Middlesbrough look shaky. A home win or draw has good value in this encounter.
