Thailand vs Philippines Predictions & Tips - Thailand Tipped to Claim ASEAN Cup Points
Thailand is set to face the Philippines in their final FIFA ASEAN Cup Group B fixture. Having already secured qualification with two wins, Thailand is favored to claim another victory and complete a perfect group run. Recent form and historical head-to-head record both strongly favor Thailand. Conversely, the Philippines have struggled, squandering a two-goal lead against Pakistan and winning only once in their last six competitive games. The key prediction is for Thailand to win with at least two total goals scored in the match.

Thailand vs Philippines Predictions
Thailand and the Philippines meet in Bandung on Friday in their final FIFA ASEAN Cup Group B fixture.
Anthony Hudson's side have won both Group B fixtures, and while qualification is already assured, they should make it three wins from three on Friday.
Thailand to win with over 1.5 goals is my best bet.
Thailand Can Complete Perfect Group Campaign
- Thailand won 7 of their last 10 matches
- Thailand scored 2+ goals in 7 of their last 10 matches
- Thailand won 5 of their last 6 matches against Philippines
- Philippines conceded 2+ goals in 4 of their last 6 matches against Thailand
- Philippines lost 4 of their last 6 matches
Thailand Dominate Recent H2H Record
Thailand and the Philippines have met on 11 occasions since 2012. Thailand won seven games, while the Philippines claimed two victories. Two games finished deadlocked.
Waris Choolthong's late goal gave Thailand a 1-0 win in New Clark City in their most recent encounter two months ago.
Thailand Take Control of Group B
Thailand come into Friday's final group game after a comfortable 2-0 win against Vietnam in Bandung on Tuesday.
Sarach Yooyen put Hudson's side ahead inside ten minutes before substitute Chaiyaphon Otton secured victory with a second goal in stoppage time.
Both teams finished an evenly balanced contest with nine shots, but the Thais' greater quality in front of goal proved the difference.
Thailand have now won both ASEAN Cup fixtures, having picked up a 4-0 victory against Pakistan in their Group B opener.
Hudson's men have been in fine form this summer, including an impressive run to the final at the recently concluded ASEAN Hyundai Cup in August.
The War Elephants won five successive matches in the competition before a 4-2 aggregate defeat against Vietnam in the final.
A strong run of form in the past year has seen Hudson’s side win 12 and lose only two of their last 17 games. Thailand scored at least two goals in 13 of those 17 fixtures.
Philippines Rue Pakistan Setback
The Philippines face a difficult final group fixture after throwing away a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw with Pakistan on Tuesday.
Sandro Reyes opened the scoring in the 24th minute before Bjorn Kristensen doubled the Philippines’ advantage eight minutes later.
Carles Cuadrat’s side looked on course for victory, but second-half goals from Ali Khan and Abdul Arshad earned Pakistan a surprise point.
Despite having 65% of possession, the Philippines were unable to secure an expected victory against Pakistan at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium.
Tuesday’s setback followed a narrow 1-0 defeat against Vietnam in their opening fixture. Cuadrat’s side can no longer reach the final, but could still qualify for the bronze medal match if they beat Thailand and other results go their way on Friday.
The Philippines have won just one of six competitive fixtures since June, losing four.
They also endured a disappointing ASEAN Hyundai Cup campaign in August, losing three of their four group games.

Philippines skipper Amani Aguinaldo took responsibility for his side's surprise draw against Pakistan.
"As the captain of the team, I take full responsibility for the poor second-half performance," said Aguinaldo during the post-match news conference.
"I should have stepped up and led the team. We have high standards, but we did not reach that level."
Verdict
Recent results and the h2h record point toward another Thailand victory in Friday’s ASEAN Cup contest.
I have my stake on Thailand to win with at least two goals scored.
