Birmingham Stallions at Louisville Kings Betting Tips – Stallions To Down UFL Newcomers

The Birmingham Stallions are heavily favored as they host the debut game for the Louisville Kings in the United Football League. Birmingham, with a strong history showing 33 victories in the past 40 games, aim to claim their 34th win as they set sights on a fourth championship in five years. Despite significant offseason changes, including AJ McCarron taking on the head coach role, the Stallions remain equipped with offensive power. The highly anticipated match marks the first-ever encounter between the two teams, with Birmingham expected to cover a -3.5 spread.

Birmingham are tipped to cover as they open the season with a victory.

The Stallions have undergone some significant offseason changes, but this is still a talented roster with plenty of weapons on offense and there are plenty of question marks hanging this Kings group and first-time head coach Chris Redman.

Key Numbers – Stallions To Earn 34th Regular Season Win?

  • Birmingham Stallions have won 33 of their last 40 regular season games
  • Birmingham Stallions have won 3 championships in the previous 4 years
  • Each of last season’s Week 1 UFL games produced under 44.5 total points

First Head-To-Head Meeting

  • This is the first ever meeting between the two teams

Birmingham Stallions Eyeing 4th Spring Title In 5 Years

Birmingham enter the new season looking to rebound from a disappointing 2025 campaign that saw their stranglehold over spring football come to an end.

The Stallions entered the UFL in 2024 having won back-to-back USFL championships, and following the league’s merger with the XFL they took the inaugural United Football League championship to complete a three-peat.

However, they were unable to make it four championship-winning seasons in a row last year, despite posting a winning 7-3 regular season record.

Birmingham’s campaign – and their dominance of spring football – was finally ended by a 44-29 defeat to Michigan in the conference finals in 2025.

The Stallions have undergone some serious changes since then, with former St Louis Battlehawks quarterback AJ McCarron taking over from Skip Holtz as head coach – but can he lead the team back to the summit in his rookie year?

Louisville Kings Entering Debut Season

Louisville are one of three newcomers to the United Football League for the 2026 campaign.

During the offseason it was confirmed that the Memphis Showboats, Michigan Panthers and San Antonio Brahmas would not be returning this year.

Instead those three teams would be replaced by the Kings, Orlando Storm and Columbus Aviators.

Louisville will be led by first-time head coach Chris Redman – a former NFL quarterback who has previously been involved with an indoor team in the city.

Verdict

The switch from Skip Holtz to AJ McCarron leaves some major question marks hanging over the Stallions, but they do at least have a track record.

Birmingham have been winning games for the past four years so we are leaning towards them against a team that is taking to the field for its first ever games.
