Kennesaw State Went 7-1 In Conference USA

Kennesaw State ended the regular season with back-to-back victories to finish with a 9-3 record.

The Owls opened the season with back-to-back road defeats against non-conference opposition, before rallying with a couple of home wins before the Conference USA schedule began.

They kicked off their conference slate with a 24-16 win over Middle Tennessee State, and then sandwiched a 45-26 victory at Florida International with home wins over Louisiana tech, 35-7, and UTEP, 33-20.

Kennesaw State then made it seven wins in a row with a 24-21 success at New Mexico State, only to see their streak end with a 35-26 defeat at Jacksonville State.

The Owls bounced back quickly though, backing up a 41-34 win over Missouri State with a 48-42 victory at Liberty to close out the regular season.

Jacksonville State enter the Conference USA Championship having won seven of their eight conference games to finish 8-4.

The Gamecocks opened with a non-conference defeat, but rebounded immediately as they kicked off their conference slate with a 34-24 victory against Liberty.

They went 1-2 in their next three non-conference games, before returning to CSA duty witjh a 29-7 victory at Sam Houston.

Jacksonville backed that up with a 38-25 success at home to Delaware, before heading back out on the road to down Middle Tennessee State, 24-21, and UTEP, 30-27.

The Gamecocks then beat Kennesaw State 35-26, before rebounding from a 27-21 loss at Florida International with a 37-34 home win over Western Kentucky.
