Pitt Looking To Back Up Georgia Tech Upset
Pitt go into this matchup having kept their ACC Championship bid alive with last week’s upset of Georgia tech, which took them to 8-3.
The Panthers opened with back-to-back non-conference wins, but saw their flying start end with a 31-24 defeat to West Virginia.
They then dropped their ACC opener to Louisville, 34-27, but rebounded over the next several weeks to win five straight conference matchups.
Pitt blew out Boston College, 48-7, and backed that up by beating Florida State 34-31, Syracuse 30-13, NC State 53-34 and Stanford 35-20.
The Panthers failed to make it six wins in a row as they lost 37-15 to Notre Dame in a non-conference game, but a return to ACC duty brought a return to winning ways, as they beat Georgia Tech 42-28.
