Toronto are tipped to cover as they win on the road in Hamilton.

The Argonauts have lost their last two, but Chad Kelly and the offense can hang plenty of points on this Tiger-Cats defense, while the home team again struggles to generate offense in Bo Levi Mitchell’s absence.

Toronto Argonauts 2-3 Following Consecutive Defeats

Toronto head out on the road once again having suffered back-to-back defeats to fall to 2-3.

The Argonauts have so far played every game away from the city due to the World Cup, and it has resulted in a mixed start.

They opened with a 37-30 defeat in Montreal, but rebounded immediately to take down the Redblacks in Ottawa, 44-24.

Toronto backed that up a week later as they knocked off defending champions Saskatchewan, 40-34, in a home game played in the Roughriders’ stadium.

The Argonauts have not won since though, following up a 58-36 defeat to Calgary with a 30-21 loss when they visited Winnipeg.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats Also 2-3 After Back-To-Back Losses

Hamilton also enter this matchup with a 3-2 record from following consecutive defeats.

The Tiger-Cats kicked off the campaign at home, but failed to make the most of that as they lost 30-27 in overtime to Montreal.

They rebounded a week later though, beating Winnipeg 37-37 on the road, and followed that up with a 41-27 success against the BC Lions.

That sent Hamilton into the bye week with 2-1 record, but they have not tasted defeat since returning to action.

The Tiger-Cats were beaten 14-13 at home by Winnipeg, losing Bo Levi Mitchell in the process, and they suffered a 38-7 blowout defeat when they visited Saskatchewan a week ago.

Verdict

The loss of Bo Levi Mitchell has been a massive blow to Hamilton, whose offense has stalled.

That spells trouble against the league’s leading scorers – we expect Toronto to get back on track on Saturday night.
