Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell is already on the hotseat after a 2025 campaign that saw them win just four of their 12 games.

The Badgers opened with back-to-back wins in non-conference action, before falling to a 38-14 defeat when they visited Alabama.

That proved to be the start of six-game losing skid that saw them lost five consecutive games in the Big Ten.

Wisconsin finally got off the mark in the conference with a surprise 13-10 win over Washington, but failed to back that up as they lost 31-7 to Indiana.

The Badgers bounced back with a 27-10 success against Illinois, only to close out the season with a 17-7 loss in Minnesota.

Notre Dame Seeking Return To College Football Playoffs

Notre Dame enter the new season looking to put a disappointing end to 2025 firmly behind them.

The Fighting Irish ended that campaign on a 10-game win streak, but a season-opening loss at Miami FL proved to be their downfall as it cost them a place in the College Football Playoffs.

That 27-24 defeat to the Hurricanes meant they lost the head-to-head when the two teams were finally compared by the committee.

Notre Dame had been hoping that a 10-game tear – full of convincing wins – would be enough, but it wasn’t to be.

In response to their playoff snub, the Fighting Irish turned down the invitation to play in a Bowl Game.
