Next James Bond Betting Tips & Predictions

We like Aaron Taylor-Johnson at 4.00 for a number of reasons..

Taylor-Johnson checks nearly every box for what EON Productions might want in the next Bond.

Combine that with brand positioning like Omega and it’s no surprise he’s one of the frontrunners with both fans and bookmakers.

1. He Reportedly Screen-Tested for Bond

In late 2022 and again in 2023, multiple reputable outlets (including The Sun and The Hollywood Reporter) reported that Taylor-Johnson had screen-tested for the Bond role at Pinewood Studios.

Insider reports claimed he “impressed Barbara Broccoli,” the long-time Bond producer, and even filmed the iconic gun barrel sequence.

2. Recently Signed as an Omega Ambassador

In 2024, Taylor-Johnson became an official brand ambassador for Omega, the luxury Swiss watchmaker.

Omega has been James Bond’s watch sponsor since 1995, and this appointment has raised eyebrows in the Bond-watching community. It's widely seen as a potential "soft launch" or grooming step for the role, similar to past actors’ gradual brand affiliations before confirmation.

Betting markets immediately shortened his odds following this announcement.

3. Fits the Bond Archetype

  • British?
  • Rugged and stylish?
  • Acclaimed actor with action credentials?
  • Age-appropriate? At 34, he fits the ideal Bond age window to carry the franchise for the next 10+ years.

His roles in Bullet Train, Nocturnal Animals and Kick-Ass have proven his ability to balance style, grit, and emotional depth — all key traits for a modern Bond.

4. Shortening Odds & Market Buzz

Most bookies currently list him at 4.00, behind only Aaron Pierre and Harris Dickinson (both at 3.25).

He has consistently stayed within the top 3 or 4 on virtually every major bookmaker’s Bond market since late 2022.

Rumours of a done deal have circulated sporadically, though no official announcement has been made.

5. Studio Silence May Be Strategic

Despite ongoing speculation, the Bond producers and Taylor-Johnson himself have not confirmed or denied the reports, fueling intrigue.

His comments to the press have been intentionally vague - often saying he’s “flattered” or “enjoying the speculation” - a tactic often used in high-profile casting negotiations.
