Song Yadong faces Deiveson Figueiredo in a pivotal bantamweight main event. Yadong, ranked number five, is tipped to win by knockout due to his explosive striking and superior output. While his recent record is mixed, he has only lost to elite contenders. Figueiredo, though a former champion, has struggled lately, losing three of his last four fights and being heavily out-struck in his previous bout. The key recommendation is to back Song Yadong for a KO win, capitalizing on Figueiredo’s recent downturn and vulnerabilities.

Song Yadong is tipped to win this main event fight by knockout.

Song is an explosive striker who lands heavy leg kicks, and he can take away Deiveson Figueiredo’s mobility before finishing him off with strikes.

Song Yadong Has Split Last 6 Fights

Song Yadong is the number five ranked bantamweight contender with a professional record of 22-9-1 (9 KOs, 3 Subs) with 1 No Contest.

Song debuted in the UFC in November 2017, and quickly made a splash as he reeled off four consecutive victories, with three of those wins coming by stoppage.

That run was ended by a majority draw to Cody Stamann, but the 28-year-old Chinese fighter rebounded with a decision success against Marlon Vera.

He failed to make it back-to-back wins as he then lost to Kyler Phillips on points, but he did respond with a three-fight win streak to get back on track.

Song edged Casey Kenney by split decision, and then knocked out Julio Arce in the second and Marlon Moraes in the first before seeing his momentum stall again with a TKO defeat to Cory Sandhagen.

‘The Kung Fu Kid’ put that behind him by knocking out Ricky Simon in the final round, and he backed that up with a unanimous decision success against Chris Gutierrez.

He then rebounded from a points defeat to Petr Yan with a decision success against Henry Cejudo, only to begin 2026 with a unanimous decision defeat to Sean O’Malley.

Deiveson Figueiredo Sliding With 3 Losses In 4 Fights

Deiveson Figueiredo is the number seven ranked bantamweight contender with a professional record of 25-6-1 (9 KOs, 9 Subs).

Figueiredo joined the UFC in 2017 and established himself as one of the best in the flyweight division as he won six of his first seven fights to surge into contention.

He failed to make weight for his second-round knockout of Joseph Benavidez in February 2020, meaning he did not win the title, but he did take his second shot as he submitted Benavidez in the rematch later that year.

The 37-year-old Brazilian tapped out Alex Perez in the first round of his first defence, but then found himself in a four-fight rivalry with Brandon Moreno that saw the title change hands multiple times.

The first fight went to a majority draw, and Figueiredo then lost the title in the rematch via third-round submission.

He regained it with a points win over Moreno in January of the following year, only to again surrender the championship as year later as he lost the final meeting via TKO.

‘Deus De Guerra’ moved up to bantamweight after that and reeled off three consecutive wins, sandwiching a second-round submission of Cody Garbrandt with points successes against Rob Font and Marlon Vera.

His climb up the ladder stalled after that though, as he lost a decision to Petr Yan and suffered a TKO loss to Cory Sandhagen.

Figueiredo then failed to follow up a split decision win over Montel Jackson as he dropped a unanimous decision to Umar Nurmagomedov in January of this year.

Verdict

Song Yadong’s recent record is not great at first glance, but there is plenty of context there.

He has only lost to elite fighters, and he can rebound at the expense of Deiveson Figueiredo, who was massively out-struck in his last outing and could get lit up in this one.
