Serbia are off to a great start at EuroVolley 2026, claiming three victories in the opening three rounds and already securing a spot in the playoffs, now battling for top placement.
After demolishing Austria 3-0, allowing just 47 points, the Serbians defeated the Czech Republic 3-1, once again keeping their opponents below 20 points in three sets.
Their third straight victory was earned on Monday, outplaying their Balkan neighbours Bulgaria in straight sets and allowing just 32 points in the opening two sets.
Greece Closing in on the Elimination Round
Greece are one of the most pleasant surprise packages at EuroVolley 2026 so far, collecting eight points in four games in Group B and coming very close to the elimination round.
After losing the opener to co-hosts Czech Republic 3-1, they recovered from a 2-1 deficit to beat heavy favorites Ukraine, followed by a 3-1 victory against Bulgaria, which was probably the direct clash for the playoffs.
Yesterday, Greece dropped one set against minnows Austria but still claimed full spoils in a 3-1 victory.
